Keiser University distinguished itself in the recently-announced U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate School rankings. After previously going unranked in all categories, Keiser University earned high marks in three categories including a top-200 ranking in occupational therapy.
Keiser University earned a spot in the rankings for Best Education Schools, Best Occupational Therapy Schools, and Best Psychology Schools.
“We’re incredibly honored to have earned a spot on U.S. News’s influential list of the best graduate schools in America,” said Robert Keiser, Ph.D., M.B.A, Vice Chancellor of Keiser University’s Graduate School. “These rankings demonstrate the planned growth of our graduate school and the addition of academic programs that continue to address Florida’s critical workforce needs in targeted and emerging fields.”
As Florida has struggled to fill essential workforce shortages in recent years, thanks in part to a growing population, Keiser University’s Graduate School has emerged as a valued partner to industries throughout Florida in need of well-trained practitioners. In the past year, the Keiser University Graduate School has added a series of academic programs that reflect the need for a skilled workforce for Florida’s growing economy.
In 2022, Keiser University launched a new Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree meant to address Florida’s nursing shortage in women’s health. The University also recently added a Master of Science in FinTech, which addresses current and emerging technologies for financial services.
The U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings is not the only honor Keiser University’s Graduate School has received recently. Earlier this year, Keiser University earned a spot on the U.S. News Best Online MBA Programs. More recently, Keiser University earned a pair of top-10 rankings from Fortune Magazine in their ranking of online master’s degree programs: No. 4 Best Online Master’s in Psychology Programs and No. 8 Best Online Master’s in Accounting.
“These rankings highlight Keiser University’s commitment to student success and providing academic degrees and training that allow our students to compete in a global marketplace,” said Keiser. “Our outstanding graduate programs provide students with opportunities to advance their careers while contributing to Florida’s economic growth and and positively impacting their communities.”
The U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinion about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research and students. Data for the rankings in six disciplines came from statistical surveys of 2,214 programs and from reputation surveys sent to approximately 6,300 academics and 12,690 professionals, conducted in fall 2022 and early 2023.
For nearly 50 years, Keiser University has been dedicated to the higher educational needs of its students and committed to addressing the critical workforce needs of Florida. Keiser University’s economic impact in Florida is more than $3 billion annually and the University was ranked No. 1 in upward social mobility by U.S. News & World Report in 2023.
