Charter K-12

There are more than 40 charter schools sponsored and administered through the School District of Palm Beach County. They are public schools, and the county school district’s Charter Department provides academic, financial, operational, and technical assistance to them. Charter schools’ guiding principles include meeting high standards of student achievement while providing parents flexibility to choose among diverse educational opportunities within the state’s public school system, while promoting enhanced academic success and financial efficiency by aligning responsibility with accountability.
